Samoan international backrow TJ Ioane has left Sale Sharks with immediate effect, linking up with recently relegated side London Irish in the Championship.
Ioane, 29, played for Sale 52-times since joining from Super Rugby side the Highlanders in 2015. Able to play all across the backrow and possessing the explosive power of a missile, the Samoan will aid in Irish's plans of an immediate return to the Premiership.
Sale Sharks current backrow stocks have left Director of Rugby Steve Diamond with an embarrassment of riches, with club captain Jono ross, Scotland international Josh Strauss, Tom and Ben Curry (the former of whom became England's incumbent openside) and rising star Sam Moore all vying for starting roles.
