Sale Sharks and England wing Denny Solomona has signed a four-year contract extension with the Manchester based side.
Solomona, 24, has extended his time at Sale with a freshly inked four-year contract. The former Rugby League player converted to Union last year, trading Castleford for Sale Sharks.
In his first season, Solomona scored 11 tries in 15 appearances for Sale and has since become a key cog in the Sharks European and domestic ambitions. So far this season, he has scored seven tries in in 14 appearances, including a brace last weekend against Bath.
His spectacular knack to score a try saw him capped after just over half a season as a Union player, featuring twice against Argentina last June.
Speaking about his new contract, Solomona said:
“I really pleased to have signed an extended contract with Sale, there couldn’t be a better environment for me to play my rugby. Dimes and all the coaches have all been great and Im very excited about the future here with a great bunch of guys.
Sale Sharks Director of Rugby Steve Diamond commented:
“Denny has really enjoyed his time here and we thought it was right to offer him another long-term deal so we are delighted he has signed.
He is a world-class finisher and a thoroughly great lad who is on the verge of playing for England all the time and he’s really great asset to have around.
Denny’s never looked anywhere else and I think it’s right that we reward him with a long-term contract and he has more justified our decision to bring him over from Rugby League a couple of years ago.”
