Bath and Exeter Chiefs have won their semi-finals against Northampton Saints and Newcastle Falcons respectively to qualify for the 2018 Anglo-Welsh Cup final.
Bath won the first of this weekend’s semi-finals on Friday night, seeing off Northampton in a swimming pool of a pitch at the Recreation Ground. A late yellow card for Saints number eight Teimana Harrison sealed Saints’ fates, with the home side going on to win 13-12.
Harrison was given his marching orders for making contact with the head of Bath's substitute loosehead prop Nathan Catt. An incident that while many will have labelled soft, was an infringement of the law and left his side with a monumental task to see out the victory.
Exeter also took a narrow victory from their home ground, with Newcastle Falcons putting in an admirable performance on the road.
Chiefs fly-half Joe Simmonds wins his second consecutive man-of-the-match award, having been the standout player on the park against Saracens in the Aviva Premiership the week before.
