Leicester Tigers centre Gareth Owens has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
The former Scarlets fly-half/centre was forced from the field in the first-half of Leicester's Premiership victory over Saracens last Sunday.
Owens will require shoulder surgery that will see him miss the rest of the season. The 29-year-old has had a tough season with injuries distrupting an otherwise promising run in the Tigers side. Paired alongside Manu Tuilagi last Sunday, Owens had looked to be a impactful signing for Leicester, filling the gap left by England fly-half George Ford during the international periods.
