England and Bath centre Jonathan Joseph is at risk of missing England's summer tour to South Africa as well as Bath's end of season run-in after picking up a significant ankle injury during Bath's loss to Saracens at Allianz Park on Sunday.
Bath Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder commented on the England centre’s injury:
"Jonathan looks like he's given his ankle a really good tweak, we're not sure how long he'll be out for but he's got next week off anyway. Hopefully it won't be too serious."
Joseph was seen on crutches and with his foot in a boot after his side’s loss over the weekend and looked in significant discomfort whilst he left the pitch in the game’s 29th minute.
England face South Africa in a three-test series this summer leaving Eddie Jones without his first choice outside centre.
Ben Te'o, Elliot Daly and Henry Slade look to be the front-runners to replace Joseph, with a handful of untested players pushing for inclusion after impressive Premiership campaigns.
