Harlequins have confirmed the man who will operate as their General Manager, working alongside new Head of rugby and current England defence coach Paul Gustard.
Harlequins have named Billy Millard as their new General Manager, who will work alongside Gustard.
Millard has previously held the role of General Manager with Cardiff Blues and USA Rugby, as well as time spent with the Welsh side, Australian Sevens, University of Sydney and Irish side Connacht.
Millard, 48, will oversee all off-pitch areas, including strength and conditioning, medical, data analysis, psychology, sports science, recruitment, Academy and women’s team, player welfare, budgeting and operations.
Commenting on his appointment Millard said: “It is a privilege to be joining a club with such a strong pedigree. Harlequins is a prestigious brand on and off the field which I’m looking forward to contributing to.
“I’m committed to delivering a high-performance environment for the players that translates into sustained on-field success. I am here to win and I look forward to helping make that happen.”
Harlequins Chief Executive, David Ellis, spoke about Millard's appointment earlier today.
"Billy arrives at Harlequins with a wealth of knowledge," Ellis said, "We believe our new management team will take a big step to helping us achieve our mission of taking Harlequins back to the top of English and European rugby."
