Three logos have surfaced following the news that Gloucester Rugby are considering a rebranding. The team themselves have denied that a Bristol-style rebrand has been decided on.
A Gloucester spokesperson said: “Our marketing department, on a regular basis, draft, review and look at the development of future brand assets and tools used by Gloucester Rugby. Draft artwork recently circulating on social media are draft designs.
“Gloucester Rugby will not comment on speculation and rumour and if we do have any announcements we would announce this via our normal channels.”
Crashball Rugby understands that the suggestion of a name change is not in consideration, merely the club logo itself.
Gloucester Rugby have made three trademark applications with the UK Intellectual Property Office but the club insist that the designs are drafts and that no decision has been taken yet.
