England Head Coach Eddie Jones has named a 36-man training squad ahead of the national side's Bristol training camp this weekend, which will run from Sunday (23rd) to Tuesday (25th).
A big name exclusion in this latest squad is that of Gloucester fly-half Danny Cipriani, whose first three games in a Gloucester jersey, having moved from Wasps over the summer, have proven as standout performances, with many fans calling for his elevation to England's first-choice fly-half.
Leicester Tigers' prop Dan Cole has also been excluded from
Cipriani's exclusion comes following the incident last month that saw the 31-year-old arrested outside a Jersey nightclub, a result of which he was ordered to pay fines by both the local magistrates and Gloucester's internal disciplinary process, whereas the RFU chose not to pursue further punishment following his Bristol-based hearing.
Notable inclusions in Jones' squad include banned Sale Sharks wing Chris Ashton - who is yet to play any Premiership rugby since his return to England over the summer - the injured duo of Wasps flanker Brad Shields and Worcester Warriors tighthead prop Nick Schonert.
Bath's herculean wing Joe Cokanasiga, 20, also enjoys a call-up after an impressive start to his career in the Blue, Black and White. The former London Irish man's ability to carry in heavy traffic, finish outrageous tries and penchant for an offload seems to have caught Jones' eye.
England will name a full training squad ahead of the 2018 Autumn Internationals next month ahead of their Twickenham fixtures against South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Australia.
